Making Smoothies to Find Normal & the Best Tasting Paleo Smoothie

Ok, we’ve met before. My hydrating Paleo smoothie. Which you all have commented and said is the best tasting paleo smoothie you’ve tried. You all sure know how to make a girl smile!

It is one of the most pinned recipes on my site with 25,000 pins and counting. It has been called the paleo Orange Julius smoothie and I am all like, “Mmmm, YES!”

I am pulling it out of the archives because I have been drinking this on the daily.

Hydrating and delicious! A paleo smoothie recipe.

Life seems to have an unreasonable amount of stress these days. When everything seems to be completely elusive and out of my hands I take what I can control and OWN IT. Like how I feed my body.

Don’t get me wrong. In this season I have been stress eating and fear eating and, “Are we even going to find a home?!” eating. It hasn’t been pretty but it has been delicious.

When we did move into home and we unpacked our blender I nearly cradled it and carried it around like it was my sanity. And then I made my smoothie.

If you know me, you know I orchestrate my day around beverages. A tried and true, carefully curated list of beverages. Coffee in the morning – always.

Tastes just like an orange julius!! A paleo smoothie recipe.

We do sparkling water (or LaCroix) with lemon for lunch. In the late afternoon I usually do a detox tea (coming to the blog soon!) to pick me up and remind myself I am a responsible adult and I can do this living thing. Right?!

Best Tasting Paleo Smoothie

So this smoothie. I almost always have these ingredients on hand because it is an orange and frozen mangoes. This time I only had frozen peaches on hand, so I went with it. I love frozen fruit because it keeps for a really long time and it makes smoothies extra frothy and cold. If I want a boost I add a scoop of vanilla protein powder. If I need some energy, I add some chia seeds after I blend it.

Hydrating, morning paleo smoothie!

Coconut water makes it extra hydrating and using coconut milk makes it Paleo 🙂

Also can we talk about one of the most frequent comments on my smoothie posts? It’s where I get these straws:

ooo i can’t wait to try this!! my kids and i have smoothies every morning (ahem: no fruit/ veggie battles when it’s in smoothie form) and we need a new recipe.
question – do chia seeds have a weird aftertaste like flax seeds? I tried adding flax seeds to our smoothie once and none of us liked it. #smoothiefail I like the idea of extra energy from chia seeds!ReplyCancel
